Study Tour “Around the Øresund” May 26–29, 2026

Our study trip during the summer semester of 2026 took us to Copenhagen and Malmö — and all the way around the Øresund in four days.

For the first three days, we cycled through Copenhagen and north from Copenhagen to Helsingør. From there, we took the ferry to Helsingborg on the Swedish side and continued by train to Malmö, where we spent the fourth day exploring Alnarp by train and then walking around Malmö.

Highlights of our itinerary included a tour of the COBE offices and Nordhavn, impressive contemporary landscape architecture projects by firms such as SLA, COBE, BIG, and BOGL, and iconic historic projects by Arne Jacobsen, G.N. Brandt, and C.Th. Sørensen; a visit to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art; and a tour of the Landscape Laboratory at SLU Alnarp near Malmö.

All in all, it was a wonderful study trip with fantastic weather, a packed, varied, and very impressive program, and plenty of new inspiration that will resonate for a long time to come.
