Academic Documents

Academic documents form the legal basis for your studies. For each degree program, they essentially consist of two parts:

When answering questions about the requirements and regulations of the program, you can and must always refer to these two documents. The officially published academic documents, including the corresponding amendments to the statutes for the master’s program in Spatial Development and Natural Resource Management, can be found on the Student Affairs Office website. Please use the reference version of the documents; here you will find all the latest information.

Timetables for the 2026/27 Winter Semester

Some exercises and seminars are offered multiple times, as they involve group work. Lectures may be attended without registration.
Please note that registration for exams is done through SELMA.

Study Plan: Overview of the type and scope of all courses and required coursework for the degree program. Please refer to the current version of your study documents, as we have fundamentally revised the elective and required course areas.

Required Modules

Bridging and Elective-Required Modules

General Information

As part of your studies, you will select modules from two semi-elective areas: the bridging catalog, which includes bachelor’s-level modules, and the semi-elective area, which includes master’s-level modules.
Both module catalogs have been expanded in recent years and therefore differ from the offerings described in the study regulations!

The bridging catalog offers you the opportunity to acquire any foundational knowledge you may still lack for the master’s program or—depending on your chosen specialization—to develop the necessary advanced foundational knowledge. In the bridging catalog, you must select modules totaling at least 10 credit points during the first two semesters. We have organized the modules in the bridge program catalog according to possible specializations. These are merely suggestions; you are free to choose your own modules. The selected specialization cannot be indicated on your transcript.
Note: Some modules are suitable for multiple specializations and are therefore listed more than once.

Working Group + Methods

The elective-required track at the master’s level offers you the opportunity to customize your studies by choosing your own areas of focus. You can select modules from a broad range totaling at least 20 credit points. We have organized the modules in the elective-required area according to possible areas of focus. These are merely suggestions; you are free to choose your own modules. It is not possible to have your chosen area of focus listed on your transcript.
Note: Some modules are suitable for multiple specializations and are therefore listed more than once.
