Tushar Jayesh Barot is a research associate at the Institute of Logistics and Aviation at TU Dresden since 2024. He is pursuing his Ph.D. as part of the AirMetro RTG 2947, working on project T5.1: on-board autonomous navigation for Innovative Air Mobility (IAM).

His current research focuses on fusing LiDAR and event-camera data in SLAM algorithms to support navigation in Innovative Air Mobility (IAM) scenarios. He addresses navigation in Very Low Level (VLL) airspace through both simulation and real-world flight tests. His experience spans radio-based localization, sensor fusion, machine learning, 3D computer vision, and embedded systems.
