Primary Education/ Mathematical Education in Dresden
Our Chair represents the entire spectrum of mathematics didactics in the field of elementary education. In addition to lectures in mathematics and the didactics of mathematics for elementary education, we offer a broad spectrum of content-specific seminars for students. Moreover, we facilitate a diverse selection of research seminars in areas related to talent and aptitude, problem solving, representation, heterogeneity, dyscalculia , and the development of learning environments. We place considerable emphasis on the students' learning through research within the framework of our courses.
In the area of research, we are dedicated to accompanying and supporting the teaching and learning processes of elementary school children in the subject of mathematics.
