#45 Tom-Bo-La // Village fair 2.0

Have you ever been to a village fair without a raffle? But do you (also) know a raffle with democratic added value? Neither have we. Our idea: for example, by using the raffle to organize encounters and exchanges, make commitment and resources visible, activate people and share resources.

The raffle tickets could be filled with "prizes" or specific small tasks by residents (young and old), clubs or the fire department before or during the fair, for example, the winners  get a free drink or free ice cream in return. Such tasks could be Repairing the fence of XYZ together with one person or collecting donations for a day, e.g. for the sports club, choosing the band for the next village fair, choosing the most beautiful front garden in the village, opening the buffet at the community anniversary and so on.

Meetings could also be raffled off: Coffee klatch with the mayor, a trip with the volunteer fire department or having a beer with the local council.

The lottery pots can be offered for different age groups. A mixture with conventional raffle tickets is sure to produce some exciting surprises.
