#47 Take a guess // Village fair 2.0

Playfully conveying transparency and knowledge about municipal administrative action and creating opportunities for discussion in the process? We say, just have a guess:

How much does the new fire engine cost?

How long does the approval process for the new bypass take?

Who decides on event requirements in the municipality?

How many people volunteer in the town?

How many leisure activities are there for young people in the municipality?

How old is the oldest person in the village and how old is the youngest?

There could also be three options to choose from. After the estimation, the "correct" option can be revealed and the facts can be discussed, reflected on or explained in more detail.

This estimation offer can be played in different variations:

1. anonymous voting, e.g. with the JoDDiD voting tubes (link), to get a feel for how certain municipal issues are estimated.

2. as a participatory activity during the village festival on the big stage. Here you need voting materials in place (e.g. colored cards) or physical effort (standing up, clapping) as well as a refreshing moderation.

3. the community's desired projects that have not yet been realized could also be estimated in terms of their costs or construction times.
