Important Information Regarding Exam Registration
- SELMA: is the leading exam management system for all computer science degree programs. Registration and admission via this portal are mandatory and a prerequisite for participating in any exam (including prerequisite exams)
IMPORTANT: You must register for the module BEFORE registering for the exam. The exam will not be visible if you have not registered for the module! - Via ticket ( email): The exam topics and examiners for the following modules/exams are submitted to the Computer Science Examination Office after exam registration has been completed via SELMA:
- INF-INF-25-Ma-GB Major Course
- INF-25-Ma-FP Research Project
- INF-25-Ma-AFT Analysis of a Research Topic

- If you have already added yourself to lists in OPAL during the lectures, this does NOT replace exam registration via SELMA.
- If you encounter technical issues during online registration or are unable to register for an exam, please contact the Computer Science Examination Office via ticket within the respective registration period, attaching a full-screen screenshot.
- Due to the large number of required elective modules, scheduling conflicts are unavoidable.
- You can only register for an exam if you are enrolled in the respective degree program.
Registration for Language Courses and Language Exams
To enroll in language courses and the associated language exams, you must register in SELMA (instructions and guidelines).
In addition, you must register for the respective language modules and exams in SELMA.

Once the planning is complete, you will find the updated exam schedules—which are binding for all degree programs—on this website.

Exam Withdrawal / Withdrawal from an Exam
You may withdraw from exams online via SELMA without providing a reason within the following deadlines:
- Written exam: 3 business days before the exam date
- Oral exams: 3 business days before the exam date
- Exams taken during the semester:
- Exams taken throughout the degree program and hardware practicum/hardware lab:
No option to withdraw - Withdrawal due to illness
In the event of withdrawal due to illness, the
Form for Certification of Inability to Take Exams and
Application for Withdrawal Due to Illness must be used.
Both forms (Certificate of Inability to Take an Exam and Application for Withdrawal Due to Illness) must be submitted together in original form no later than 5 business days after the exam date and may be mailed or deposited in one of the available official mailboxes ordeadline mailboxes at TUD. The date of receipt stamped by TU Dresden is what counts for meeting the deadline. Submission via Ticket is not permitted. - Further details are specified in the Study and Examination Regulations for your degree program.
