Dr.-Ing. Moritz Neubauer Successfully Defends His Dissertation with the Distinction "magna cum laude" — Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology — TU Dresden
Successful Dissertation
At the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology (ILK) at TU Dresden, Dr.-Ing. Moritz Neubauer successfully defended his dissertation titled “Development and Manufacturing Analysis of Cellular Core Structures for Functionalized Sandwich Composites.” Using acoustic engine liners as a case study, Dr.-Ing. Neubauer investigated how cellular sandwich cores can be designed and manufactured to combine load-bearing and sound-attenuating functions within a lightweight structure.
The defense took place before an examination committee chaired by Prof. Dr. Thomas Wallmersperger (Institute of Solid Mechanics, TUD). The reviewers were Prof. Dr. Niels Modler (ILK, TUD), Prof. Dr. Steffen Ihlenfeldt (Institute of Mechatronic Engineering, TUD), and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Dannemann (West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau). Prof. Dr. Maik Gude (ILK, TUD) served as the examiner.
In recognition of his scientific achievements, he was awarded the academic degree with the distinction of magna cum laude.
The ILK extends its warmest congratulations to Dr.-Ing. Moritz Neubauer on the successful completion of his doctoral degree and recognizes his scientific achievements as well as his commitment to the field of lightweight construction. The Institute wishes him all the best and continued success in his future scientific and professional career.
