Tour de Dresden – The discovery tour through Dresden companies

Every September, the Tour de Dresden offers students the opportunity to gain practical insights into the industry and connect directly with potential employers.

In 2026, 111 students from our university took part in the Tour de Dresden and visited 14 companies and research institutions: From the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden, located right on the TUD campus, to VON ARDENNE in Dresden-Weißig, and on to ESF Elbe-Stahlwerke Feralpi GmbH in Riesa. A very special highlight was the many “alumni” tour participants who now guided a new generation of students through the production facilities.

Which companies can participate?

6–16 companies headquartered in the greater Dresden area
Companies with a need for academically trained professionals

Which students can participate?

All TUD-students, particularly those in the fields of engineering, the School of Science, and mathematics, with sufficient German language skills (B2)
Prospective students interested in STEM fields
Target number: 70–100 students

90-minute guided tour of your company with 5 to 30 students

Price: 890 EUR plus VAT, plus expenses for your visit to the beer garden
