Ingmar Glauche ist stellvertretender Direktor am Institut für Medizinische Informatik und Biometrie und leitet die Arbeitsgruppe für Theoretische Stammzellbiologie. Für das Institut ist er als Lehrbeauftragter tätig. Herr Prof. Dr. Glauche vertritt die Medizinische Fakultät als gewähltes Mitglied des erweiterten Senats der TU Dresden. Außerdem ist Herr Prof. Dr. Glauche als ehrenamtlicher Konfliktlotse an der TU Dresden bestellt.
Die wissenschaftlichen Schwerpunkte von Prof. Dr. Glauche liegen in folgenden Bereichen:
Hämatopoetische Stammzellalterung:
- Klonale Kompetition und klonale Dominanz
- Altersbedinge Veränderungen in der Polarität von HSC-Teilungen
Theoretische Konzepte der Organisation von Stammzellen:
- Proliferations- und Differenzierungskontrolle hämatopoetischer Stammzellen
- Stammzell-Nischen Interaktion
- Molekulare Entscheidungsprozesse in embryonalen Mausstammzellen
Krankheits- und Behandlungsmodelle:
- Chronische und akute myeloische Leukämie
- Gentherapeutischen Ansätze
Statistische Analyse dynamischer Prozesse und Strukturen:
