All the best in retirement, Andrea!
Today we accompanied Andrea on a trip to her home and gave her a fitting send-off as she enters her well-deserved retirement.
Andrea worked at TU Dresden for 40 years, the last ten of which were spent in our electrochemistry research group. During that time, she became an integral part of our department and the heart and soul of our institution. Whether it was major challenges or minor everyday problems—Andrea always had an open ear, offered sound advice, and reliably took care of whatever needed to be done.
To mark her departure, we therefore presented her with a very special “honorary doctoral cap.” Although she didn’t earn her doctorate with us, she certainly deserves that cap!
We want to say thank you for the many years we’ve spent together, for your support, your willingness to help, and, of course, for the countless little and big things that simply wouldn’t have gone as smoothly without Andrea.
Dear Andrea, enjoy your well-deserved retirement! We wish you plenty of time to enjoy life’s simple pleasures in this new chapter.
