Many of TU Dresden's partner universities offer various short-term student exchange programs, such as summer schools, intercultural training or language courses. Portugal
The Iscte Business School in Lisbon invites you to its first Winter School, featuring courses on two exciting topics:
Topic 1: Cross-Cultural Communication and Negotiation
Topic 2: Innovation Management with AI
There will also be an exciting cultural program and the opportunity to explore Lisbon!

Switzerland
How can we shape transformative change for sustainable development? The International Winter School on Sustainable Development explores this question in depth. The goal is to understand global sustainability challenges and develop concrete solutions - creatively, interactively, and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
When:
February 1–5, 2027, 8:45 a.m.–5:00 p.m. each day
Note: Kick-off event: November 20, 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Mexico
Tec de Monterrey is once again offering interesting summer and winter schools this year, specializing in language, culture and intercultural exchange.
Summer School (June - July)
- Language courses (Spanish for beginners to advanced)
- iSummerMX: 4-week intensive program that takes place at 4 different campus locations (e.g. Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara) with a focus on business, technology and Mexican culture. Lessons in Spanish or English
Winter School (Jan - Feb)
- Spanish language courses + courses on Mexican culture & history or business in Mexico

Japan
Kansai University offers three exciting short-term programs - two in English and one in Japanese. There’s something for everyone!
1. Winter School 2027 (English)
"Discover Temporary Japan"- pop culture, anime, music, food, and Japanese industry, featuring lectures, workshops, and field trips
When? January 13–28, 2027

2. OSIP Career Development Program (English)
During the 7-day program (Osaka Social Impact Project), international and Japanese students will explore various career options together, including workshops, company visits, and cultural activities.
When? January 24–30, 2027

3. IJLC – Intensive Japanese Language Course (Japanese)
Japanese language classes, Japanese cultural program, field trips, and exchange with students from Kansai University
When? Winter 1: January 14–February 5, 2027; Winter 2: February 10–25, 2027

Japan
Tohoku University, one of Japan’s top universities, is offering a two-week winter school this winter that focuses on a Japanese language and a diverse cultural program.
When?
Course 1: December 4–21, 2026
Session 2: January 14–29, 2027
Course fees:
115,000 JPY (~620 €) including course enrollment, course materials, and the cultural program (including excursions)
Deadline:
Course 1: September 27, 2026

Japan
Keio University in Tokyo invites you to participate in the Short-Term Japanese Studies Program. You’ll have the opportunity to get to know Japan from various perspectives - through lectures, workshops, and off-campus activities alongside Keio students. Please note: This is not a language course, but rather a program on Japanese studies from various perspectives!

South Korea
Dankook University invites you to spend the winter in Korea. The International Winter School offers a 14-day language course and an exciting cultural program—all set against the backdrop of a Korean winter.

Korea University offers a diverse winter program through its International Winter Campus, featuring academic courses and a varied cultural program. The courses last either 3 or 4 weeks and take place on-site in Seoul or, in some cases, online.

Taiwan
The NTU Plus Academy at National Taiwan University (NTU) offers over 20 short-term academic programs for international students—with options in culture, language, and research, there’s something for everyone.
The course lineup changes regularly, and this spring the following courses will be offered:
1. Chinese Language & Culture
When? March 2–24, 2027
What? Chinese at all levels (beginners welcome!), cultural activities, and field trips with local students
2. Research & Culture
When? February 22–March 26, 2027
What? Research at the highest level—you can choose from over 130 professors across various research fields to advance your own research.
