Get Started - Energy Mentoring by NET
Hey!
We are the Network Energy Talents! We are a first-class group of universities and companies that have come together to form a not-for-profit association with the aim of making our energy supply climate-neutral and sustainable. As members, we work together to create opportunities to connect young STEM talents at an early stage and support them in their studies and career planning.
Are you studying electrical engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy Systems or Mechatronics and want to get off to a successful start in your studies?
We’re here to support you!
The first few semesters of college often bring many challenges: demanding exams, a heavy workload, questions about how to organize your studies, or even doubts about whether the degree program you’ve chosen is really the right one. You’re not alone in this.
With the Durchstarten: Energy-Mentoring by NET. mentoring program, we support students in the above-mentioned degree programs at the TUD Dresden University of Technology and the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg during their first four semesters as they successfully navigate their daily academic life, find their own path through their studies, and develop viable career options for the future.
We will begin our first mentoring session in mid-October 2026. Space is limited. The deadline for registration has been extended to Friday 2 October 2026.
Network Energy Taltens members include:
- TU Dresden University of Technology
- 50Hertz
- DNV
- SachsenEnergie Group
- TenneT TSO GmbH
- BKW Infra Services Europe SE
- Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nürnberg
- HIGHVOLT Testing Technology Dresden GmbH
The programme is managed by the mentoring team at the ServiceCenterStudies at TU Dresden University of Technology.
After a kick-off session, we’ll pair you for approximately 6 months with an experienced specialist or manager from our network—someone who has successfully completed their studies in your field and is now well-established in their career—as part of a mentoring partnership.
During three in-person meetings, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss any topics currently on your mind. This way, you’ll benefit from your mentor’s experience and can address key challenges in a trusting environment while developing solutions. In addition to the mentoring, we offer two empowerment workshops on the strategic use of digital tools for self-management, effective time management, and tips for a successful job application process. A peer meeting with the other program participants for personal exchange and individual reflection, as well as a workplace tour, round out our program.
Please take a look at our timetable.
