Watering can heroes: an initiative to preserve the campus greenery
Who are the Watering Can Heroes?
Through their dedication, the “Watering Can Heroes” help keep the campus green spaces watered. Green spaces, shrubs, and trees are vital to the quality of life on our campus. They provide shade, cool the surroundings, and improve air quality. All of these functions are essential for maintaining the campus as a livable place. Heat, drought, and heavy rainfall create critical conditions for the campus greenery, especially during the summer months. Regular watering helps the trees and shrubs remain resilient.
How can I become a “watering can hero”?
If you’d like to participate in the initiative and join other volunteers in regularly watering the campus, please sign up via OPAL.
Of course, the water station is available to anyone who would like to provide the campus greenery with the necessary water during the dry, hot summer months . Anyone can be a “watering can hero.”
