All Degree Programs for the 2022 Academic Year
Credits earned abroad may be transferred either as course credits (subject-specific credits) if they are equivalent to modules offered in the degree program, or as structural credits. In the case of catalog modules, recognition is granted on a structural basis to ensure that students can still take the module in Dresden if necessary.
Bachelor’s IB Academic Regulations 2017
Credits earned abroad may be transferred into the elective-required modules BA-IB-ID2, BA-IB-S, BA-IB-P-EF, or BA-IB-P-AQUA1. Credits may only be transferred into three of these modules.
Master’s IB Study Plan 2017
Credits earned abroad may be applied to the profile area (specialization or transdisciplinary supplement).
Academic Credit Transfer
Academic credits earned abroad are recognized in accordance with our module structure. If the credits are recognized as part of an existing module, you will receive the ECTS credits for that module.
Structural Credit Transfer
The ECTS credits actually earned and the original course title (in English) as listed on your Transcript of Records will be transferred. The credits will be assigned to the respective major or supplementary qualifications.
